the evident trend..

i cannot tahan liao.

back when internet chatrooms, and MIRC were the fad, all one had to do when bored was to log in with a girly nick... something like "AnGeL69" or "hornyGAL" to get loads of attention!

and the pickup lines were pretty standard. It was always
"hi, can be fren"
if it wasnt
"a/s/l?" (age sex location),
or better still
"wanna fuck?".

Those are still ard, but they're crass man.. just CRASS.. Girls, even what used to be the ubiquitous scrawny hokkien spewing ah-lian chick (no offense, i say this in a good way), have now upgraded... now high-class leh! Dumpy one-liners that were once uber-chic are just too passe for the men to use now...

you know why i say this?... because.....

since chatroom days when you can be in the same "room" as strangers... the transcendence to more individualized accounts like ICQ and MSN.... so cannot hide behind the computer screen that gives you a fake tan!

little boys, guys, men, prowlers... they all have a trend too...
its
HOW TO PICK GIRLS UP in the NEW ERA OF INTERNET
- hide behind the bits and bytes la! -

So in comes webproggies.... FRIENDSTER for eg..
every other web/relationship forming website you can name...
whereby you send an innocent msg via the person's account...

and "hi, can be flen" is prob the most used pickup line now coz they know that even the sweetest looking girl in the picture can be the razor sharp with her comments...

so so so... the trend creeps round the bend (moving in circles mah!)....

somehow, some guys with more balls... who prob score with women offline, and just wanna try to widen the scope (the world is the limit!) - AND THIS IS A COMPLIMENT OK, *pui* - try to spice up their chats with other well rehearsed topics.. reused over and over with every single profile that has a picture of a girl on it.

You tell me, if thats not well rehearsed already, what is?

Whaa.. the not-so-surprising thing is... these fellas think they've outsmarted the system!

To avoid the "dumping", even if its via the matrix of many router and server hops, they pretend to casually drop their numbers, and then with a wispy excuse that they have bad internet connection, they say "i hope to hear from you soon".

*I, weep for you*

Words cannot express the pain I feel for you...
You... You....
.. actually Make my day! its quite amusing to actually realise the trend... and you can really spot the golden sacs from the rotten eggs.. :p

disclaimer: my dear guy friends... some of you might be SECRETLY engaging in these activities. Whatever rocks your boat! I really dont have anything against you (or shd i say, THAT KIND)if you've "proven" yourself a worthy friend offline (pref w/o picking me up online with the sole purpose of -wanna-make-flen-but-actually-tink-can-be-stead- mindset). So dont hantum me. :) *you my flen*

hehehe.
