miracle of miracles...

So i was out today. No work/ school! kinda like All Play... Yay!!

I paid the price for the hectic schedules... Like i said, every night, I go out like a light - the kind where you forget your existance, and when you wake up, you're so disoriented, its like you're Born Again....

Well, today I wanted to get out of bed and get some sch stuff done, so I set the alarm for 745; hopefully, I'd be up by 8am. ... Guess what time I got up?
11ish - Not too bad, you're thinkin?

I had to DRAG myself out of bed, and DRAG myself up to the kitchen (yeah, my apartment has a top-down structure; my room is at the bottom of the apartment, and the kitchen is half a story up) to ask/ get food - I thought that'll keep me awake!

After chomping down some "mee-pok tah", brought home from the weekly marketing trip by mum, I decided to spend my next two hours studying with my bro (his exams come monday). So, I headed back down, to his room where he was, to inform him
"hey, lets study tog since I've the next 2+ hrs free"

The usual procedure when I walk into his room is to lie on his bed. I've various ways - doing a lil hop skip and jump; slidin; rollin; or plain sitting on the bed, but various ways nonetheless. - Today, I did just that. I got on to his comfy bed.

I'm not sure if I said it out loud, but I was definitely thinkin
"ooooh, your bed is so comfy"

I'm sure you guessed it - I fell aslp.
Don't even know if any thoughts came out of verbally or not.
It was 1+ hour before I actualy rose to consciousness, and within a few seconds, back to slumber. All the while bright light from his ceiling, thru the window, and from his table lamp next to the bed, where he was studying at the table... they were all shining brightly.

By the time I got OUT of his bed, it was 2pm. Time to get ready for my saturday appointment - high tea @ Holland Village Fosters Cafe.
That was nice, minus the dry eyes from contact lens usage. Had to keep removing the left side, and dropping rewetting solution! How Annoying!

Well that aside, we tried to get my injuried foot fixet. slightly busted from last night's gig, but i can still move about. It only hurts at certain angles.

So Jo picked me up from HV to head to light dinner and the Thomson Big Band annual concert @ Raffles Hotel Jubilee Hall. That was good too. into the middle of the 2nd or 3rd piece, i started to feel a lil nostalgic abt jazz. I started dancin regulary again because I started lindy hop, and then moved to salsa. Lindy is based on jazz music. Its always been a fav genre.... :)

The days we used to hang out at the jam nights, those were the days that came to mind. I didn't realise how much i missed it!
THanks Jo! (Hope you didn't think TOO MUCH :p )

ANyway, aft that, we hopped across the road to the LOOF. 1st time for both of us. We saw it when we were waitin outside the Hall for Leo (Captain Cute, who's been promoted to Major-ly Cute... *roll eyes* - btw, its not my joke)

Hung out for a bit, and leo joined us. ANd we were with his realtor (of all people!) and her friend. so 4 girls and 1 major-cute. (man* - those of you who know my msn icon)

So we ajourned to Jazz at southbridge after coaxing..
had a bottle of champagne, A veuve-clicquot, courtesy of Leo! *THANKS that sure curbed the cravings!... for now

yum.

Anyway, it was a good day.

THe miracle of miracles - since we had some drinks at Loof, and then somemore champagne at Southbridge..... Jo was driving tonight, and she checked with Major whether it'll be "safe" on the roads, or would there be any stops. She generally got an "all clear" signal.

We came across the police stop along clemenceau avenue. I told her to try turn into Oxley and say I live at Oxley... Fine i know thats a blatant lie.. but the poor girl was distraught, right..?

The fella at the junction told us to get back into the line of vehicles to go thru the police filter :( I think it showed a lil on Jo..
:(

Gosh, if you've never seen me nervous, I was kinda nervous then...
I was running a list of people I could call at 2am in the morning to scream for help in case she didn't pass the breathalyzer test!
I decided on one whom i guess i can count on for such matters, based on previous stories told to me...
And Maybe I was kanchiong cos I hit the call button before I knew the outcome of the test.
Jo had to pull over, and park, and walk the distance of about 50m to the police van where, she said, they were quite nice to her..

So before I knew what was happening, I had his the call button. And my call was rejected. *curses*
I have no clue how much time passed inbetween, but I decided to wait a while before trying to call again. But Jo came walking back. and I guessed we were safe.

Distraught, we were.

But thats over and one with. So we got home.
She passed the test.. there're apparently 3 levels - fail, warning, & pass.
She passed! Phew.

So I had a shower, and was cleaning up, and I got a return call.
To cut the story short - this fella was at the SAME junction at the SAME time jo and I were there. He saw the girl driver after jo who was asked to go for the breathalyzer test (jo was mostly hidden behind the police van i suppose, or he'd prob have seen her in her blue dress)

He said he couldnt answer my call because I called right when he was at the police stop itself, with the malay guy ... the one who asked jo to pull over to the side.

Geez.
I'm still not quite over it.
Explains the rambling.

one night to remember.
Might as well have a verbal diahorrea than a blank memory!

About time to slp. Kinda hungry now. sigh. Only mushroom soup for dinner. Didn't get to eat much else. Bad tummy.
Body seems to be reacting to my hours - migraines/ headaches, bad tummy/ lack of appetite or stomach aches, weird sleeping (like the one that happened today in my brother's room), ulcers in my mouth....
*sigh*

its just, unbelievable. passing the test; and at the same place same time, with out knowing it, really...
Incredible. within a span of MINUTES.
This hardly ever happens...
