Where I have been...

seriously, I'm not sure.
I'm always online when I'm home though! (and that is NOT a good thing)

Thought I'd tell you about my latest blood donation attempt...

I try to donate every 3 mths but sometimes, due to schedules, we can't. For me, on top of that, every time I make a trip down, I attempt to take in more Iron as i'm borderline anemic (low haemoglobin). That attempt translates to eating particular foods if i can get my hands on them for the week before my preferred donation date. Also chomping down on vit-tablets in the morning (i conveniently forget to take them otherwise).

My 3mth window was up less than a mth ago; and I rec'd an sms from red cross sg saying they req'd Otype blud.

So, I decided to go today!
Got my sis and pheli along with me too. Each of us has our own reasons for worrying that our trip will be a wasted one - Pheli had low blood pressure the last 2 or 3 times she went.

Waited BLOODY LONG!
So whilst waiting we were chatting, and me with my toopid mouth, half cheekily, half nervously said "what if ALL 3 of us can't donate today... i will laugh my ass off"

True enough, my ass HAS been comin off: diarrhea..

Dunno if I should be ANNOYED or Amused.... *sigh*

Stopping at ERP gantry

We had to stop the car, and look for the cashcard!
for a good 3 to 5 minutes.. we stopped and he realised he didn't have the cashcard in his pockets, and he put up the hazard lights, opened his door, signaled "sorry" to the fellas behind, and opened the trunk to dig his bag for the cash card.

I took this pic in commemoration of the time that he slotted in the cashcard, with the same car behind him all the time.

Best thing was... after we went through the gantry, the I.U gave the "error" beeps.
I hope he didn't get any fines.

ah, well, aft exams, been chillin. I actually got to read some - very happy about that. Not been online alot either (as most friends have realised)

So, this is my latest update (yes, thats all. not chatty now, toobad!)

But to end off, here's a pic i took on the way to yoga last Thursday morning..
I was a-walkin to Pacific Plaza from home, as I sometimes do as extra exercise. Yoga classes there - Ya didn't manage to sell off that damned membership.

There I was, walkin past Goodwood park hotel, hop skip and a jump (as if). Just as I was approaching the one-way vehicle EXIT of Far East Plaza, I heard a "toot" from behind me..
So instead of turning my head to the left, where I ought to have been looking for exiting vehicles, I looked right to see this beige-y saloon car, with a Lady driver who had Long hair, and the P-Plate Triangle proudly displayed infront of her...

She turned into the Exit...
and I was too stunned to do anything but visually follow her through the drivewrong-way. The car Stopped! and I snapped this

Pity, I didn't get the plate number.. I could have, but, I ain't that mean.

It was ADS's Social night function held @Upper Club, Chijmes.
Sunday night, 28Jan.

I decided to go since... I had this dress. If i don't wear it now, I'll never wear

I never thought it possible to club hop ard singapore without paying alot.
But by the end of last night, okaaay, this morning... if you put my arms under black-light, it would *GLOW*

It was a whimsical night of dancing nonsense, esp if you compare it to my normal salsa. Dancing was mainly confined to (in accending order of excessive and aggressive moves, hampered by my good'ole knee injury), club 2, 6 & 7.

"Gotham had some pretty exciting lineup.. where they had male strippers *yummy*"

They're code named "ODDESSY". Pity we didn't get to go back at 2am for their last set.

Double O had free drinks all the way and of course we drank quite abit... well more for chin..

Chin didn't drink alot either..... it could've been alot more if not for hordes of girls squeezing infront of the bar counter. Urgh.

& I (oddly) LUV it when they ask for I.D. I'm so young! *lalala* Then again, what is it that the younger pple have, that I don't... Some of'em didn't get checked *quizzical look*

Both of us agree, that it was a good night. (we gettin alot of "good nights" these few days, huh! *wriggle butt*)

On thursday, I recieved devastating news through my brother.

The silly twerp (I mean that in the most affectionate way) shot me an sms ard 11am, and I only read it at 1pm when I woke up.It read

"Chinfee jie, have you heard about uncle K.F?"

And in my sleepy stupor, I replied

"No, what about?"

And the silly twerp replied almost immediately,

"Have you finished your exams?"

So I got fed-up;

"What happened? So what if I have or not. Just tell me."

My mobile rang.
And thats how I found out a dear uncle of mine had passed on.

Amidst the shock and confusion, as I realised how he departed, it was uncannily similar to another.

The whirlwind of a weekend has since passed.
Wakes and funerals often have this effect on you - losing track of time, only recognising day and night from the obvious effects of natural lighting.

I did the funeral accounts! (morbid as it may sound) But I'm happy with the results - COZ I HATE NUMBERS. And they entrusted the entire task to me still.
Armed with trusty Dell, I actually did SPREADSHEETS - which account does this money go into, and what money goes out.
*alright, enough gloating*

I'm still feeling gloomy.

My mum and her sister seem to be leading very similar lives. As one marries, the other follows shortly after.
They both married RI boys.
Soon, a first born; and then my cousin follows just over 2 months later.
Eventually, both sisters have 3 children each.

Its a good life for the most of it.
But there came a time, when it was very difficult for most people. I guess everyone has their own story.
Anyhow, Stress took its toll.
And, one could say people seemed to be dropping like flies in a fire.
They were no different.

Stress-induced Heart Attack/ Failure/ Hypertension/ whatever; because, it doesnt really matter anymore, does it.

My mother went through a dark period. Hell, we all went through the 'dark periods', together and on our own. Now my aunt and her 3 sons have to follow in our paths?

Despite the similarities, there are different circumstances that each family has to go through. But, I know, it will be the toughest for them, for the next few months, as the emptiness sinks.
I ought to take this opportunity to remind myself - To my dear aunt and cousins, this has brought back far too many memories and emotions, and though it isn't at all a happy thing, You know that we can fully understand the grief and the various 'dark periods' and the need to be alone, but if there's anything else You only need to call.

I think my aunt was born to be a care giver.
She wants to appear strong, very strong. (but some of us know better).
She doesnt cry (yet we've seen those swollen eyes).
She still had the courage and compassion to comfort others.
I guess she was built that way.
In all her lil ways (alot of them, often a tad bit annoying - my siblings would be able to tell you, *chuckle*), she shows her care, and we've to thank her for that.
Uncle KF was... her everything. Literally.
And she's so strong, who is she going to allow to care for her?

3 years, 3 men, 3 deaths - Daddy, Grandpa, Uncle KF.
All close to me in one way or another. All men in my life.

In light of the situation, I think its time for us to grow up a lil bit more;
a lil bit faster:

one of my cousins from m'sia came down earlier than the rest to spend some quality time with my brother.

- the white one thats of a slightly different cut (for the top piece). My tan lines - umm...- down my chest, are caused by this sweetie
- the chic turq one with the print of a girl in shades; I took the back bit coz thats where the nice pic was.
- and my 1st ever set I got for S$20 in Sydney a few years ago is brown and black, lined orange - and reversible - thou i've always prefered the brown.



I've got 15 "normal" panties,of which
- I would only wear 6 out of the house
- 11 of them are mainly White
- 1 has a "huge" cherry motif on the back

- and 1 is pink, with red lining

- 8 of them are sports, that i shamelessly use to sleep (sometimes) coz I DONT PLAY SPORTS

- and the one right at the top you see (purple>), its multipurpose - i.e. i can use it as a bikini top. haha, thats why i dont mind showing.

Mum went on a short business trip.

anyway, heading over to the RICE section to grab a bag when this fella came up to me from behind and said "Excuse me".

Apparently, my TWINNIE - SCGS sec1 band who became v proficient with her Horn and was drum major.. went to NJ and lost touch for a while- eeshuen pierced her NOSE on the same day :D at Far east too. Didnt get to meet up with her to check it out, but pure coincidence that my "twin" was gonna do a piercing on the same day without telling each other till the night before when I so happened to mention it. *yikes*

~ wen excellent drummer. found out last night at jazz@southbridge where he jammed with kerong..
~ daniel wong (trumpet player) & derek elesse thought of asking them coz they played music! and kerrong, the prodigy jazz pianist was supposed to be there, but didnt turn up!

BUT BEFORE ZOUK...
Sis and bro went for SALSA LESSONS with Luther and Adeline. ;)
i went to "kaypo" and ended up learning the lead - Salsa Basics!!!

And i didnt hand up my soci assignment.. havent done. i am so DEAD.


Zouk's crowd was disgusting. i left early. walking to the cabs at 1240 in a super short skirt and a camisole top (that some might think cvame out of the lingerie dept)... uumm.. not so fun - unglam huuuhh..
anyway, aside from the crowd, our grp was split.. too bad.


2 dec: i went to adeline's mum's wake *sigh*
was also informed by mum that Auntie alice and Uncle Chongmeng had extra tix to MamaMia! and they were asking if i could take lynn's place coz lynn was going to church to settle some stuff for her cambodia trip, and thus couldnt make it for the fri-nite show.


3 dec: MAMAMIA! bit of salsa, and a yummy bowl of bedok 85 bakchor kuayteow
ANDREW stood me up! we were supposed to go for cigar and desert wine aft my show! he was playing scrabble when i called.

But all ended alright. i headed over to union for a bit of a salsa fix, and then rushed for the last train to Bishan where Terrence picked me up for supper. Birthday treat he said, coz he couldnt make it to my party (updated the entries with photos!).

5 dec: reached home at 1130am. *erm*
yeah, and salsa training at 3pm. not much of slp considering i hadda get instructions from mum for the whole week shez got visitors in town. Shez now at a congress at Regent Hotel (think might stay over there on wed night, coz its nearer for 9am lecture on thurs morning- hmm).

Met my sibings and Sherwin for dinner - sherwin is the up-and-coming-future-olympics-gold-medalist for Weightlifting... ok, well, i hae confidence that he'll make it there.. AT THE RATE HE EATs~!~

Jazz at Southbridge was good. Chilling out, met up with quite a few people - big grp.. hmm.. weird how we're oddly connected. Derek and Daniel were there. And then there were friends of derek.. his JC friends... And friends of daniel's - few of the NUS jazz band members.. not that i knew everyone, but I've met/heard of/seen/ them from here and there.
~ kermin : Derek's-2-doors-away neighbour, whoz Daniel's NUS architecture friend now thru Jessie (whoz also NUS archi) whoz from Salsa fanatico!! who learns at jitterbugs with another guy... who both saw my birthday dance at the studio.. *phew* & kermin's sister..
